First Grade Teacher

I was the first generation in my family to attend college and pursuing teaching just seemed like the obvious choice. I always babysat kids in my neighborhood, and I loved being around kids. There is nothing better than being part of a child's "a-ha" moment, which is why I love being in the younger grades so much.

I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable and when they are having fun. I pride myself on ensuring we have a positive classroom culture and I try to bring humor into every lesson while building my student's self-esteem. I always want all my students to feel good about coming to school to learn.

Bilingual Classroom Assistant

My passion has always been to work with children and educate them, especially bilingual students. Being in this position for these many years, I have seen my students grow into successful young adults. I’m proud to be in this position. I am responsible for assisting the lead teacher. I communicate with students in their designated language to best assist them throughout their learning during small group instruction, and or one on one instruction. Throughout the daily schedule I am with the students for every class.
